The World of Lusha
Lusha takes place in a vast, bright, and mysterious jungle. The player embodies a child who has been pulled far away from their own world, surrounded by talking animals, ancient ruins, magic-infused objects, and clues left behind by a missing explorer.
Lusha’s world is both an adventure setting and a motivational support. Actions completed in real life, such as routines and challenges, help the character progress through the jungle. The game therefore distinguishes two layers: real family daily life and the narrative or playful objectives experienced in Lusha.
Starting Point of the Adventure
Section titled “Starting Point of the Adventure”The story begins in an attic filled with adventurers’ objects. At the back of the room, a strange chest shakes and gives off a glow. When the child approaches it, the chest suddenly opens and pulls them into another world.
The player finds themself alone in the middle of the Lusha jungle, near a mysterious stele. Kind animals help them reach a camp and understand the first rules of survival: explore, get organized, preserve energy, build a shelter, and look for a way back home.
The Jungle of Lusha
Section titled “The Jungle of Lusha”The jungle is designed as a rich environment that invites exploration, curiosity, and discovery. It contains resources to collect, secrets to find, characters to help, and places that unlock gradually.
It is vast and varied. The player discovers exotic plants, ancient ruins, and areas that invite repeated exploration. The adventure is not limited to the jungle floor: it can also lead upward, to cliffs or treetops, and downward into depths such as caves.
Magic permeates part of Lusha’s world. It appears in certain stones, plants, ancient ruins, and Luya statues. It can bring objects to life, reveal passages, or explain strange phenomena.
Some regions, however, seem disturbed by a form of corruption of this magic. Mists and giant brambles can invade areas of the jungle, block exploration, or signal that a place is still unstable. These obstacles contribute to Lusha’s mystery and give the player new reasons to understand what happened to the jungle.
Lusha’s world is not only decorative. It stages several important ideas:
- organization helps progress;
- the character’s energy, in practice their play time, is not unlimited;
- distractions exist, but it is possible to learn how to manage them;
- exploration becomes more interesting when the player returns regularly;
- progress in the game remains connected to efforts made in real life.
The jungle is also a space without judgment. The animals the player meets have their qualities, difficulties, emotions, and awkward moments. The player can help them, learn with them, and sometimes recognize situations close to their own experience.
Main Characters
Section titled “Main Characters”Tigum is a cheerful, lively, and endearing young tiger. He becomes one of the player’s close companions. He helps the player understand the camp, encourages exploration, and can talk with them about the positive or difficult moments of the day.
Tigum plays an important role in the game’s tone: he supports without judging, encourages without pressure, and helps the player keep an emotional connection with Lusha’s world.
Touk is a toucan from the jungle. He is one of the first animals who guides the player after their arrival. Like the other inhabitants of Lusha, he helps make the jungle feel less worrying and more welcoming.
Igor is a gorilla who helps the player understand the basics of life in the jungle. He introduces exploration, collecting, and crafting.
At first, Igor can seem impressive because of his size, deep voice, and sometimes reserved attitude. As the player gets to know him, they discover a gentle, attentive, and kind character.
Tara is a mysterious and caring bear who runs a small school near the camp.
Pana is a character met in Tara’s School. She may face difficulties with organization, emotions, or relationships with others. The player helps her through quests connected to Tara’s lessons, for example by looking for a lost object, understanding a misunderstanding, or suggesting an appropriate strategy.
Jane the Explorer
Section titled “Jane the Explorer”Jane is an explorer who arrived in the jungle several years before the player. She seems to have lived through an experience similar to the player’s: being transported into Lusha, having to survive, building a camp, and searching for a way back home.
Her logbook is an important narrative thread. It contains observations about the jungle, animals, ruins, magic, and clues needed to understand what happened before the player’s arrival.
The Mysterious Statues
Section titled “The Mysterious Statues”Some ancient statues seem infused with the magic of Lusha. They can speak, react to the player, and seem to protect structures connected to the Luyas.
Mysteries of Lusha
Section titled “Mysteries of Lusha”Lusha seems to be a world parallel to ours. Portals can connect the two universes, sometimes in an uncontrolled way, especially during powerful phenomena such as storms. The attic chest and the jungle steles seem connected to this logic of passage between worlds.
The jungle also preserves traces of an ancient civilization: the Luyas. The Luyas once lived in harmony with nature and mastered a form of magic specific to Lusha. They are said to have built structures, animated guardians, and used this magic to accomplish extraordinary things.
But this mastery eventually disturbed the jungle’s fragile balance. A catastrophic event appears to have marked part of the territory, especially the crater. The Luyas then seem to have tried to protect what remained of their civilization and knowledge.
Jane’s journal allows the player to gradually reconstruct this story: the origins of the Luyas, mastery of magic, portals, hidden sanctuary, guardians, and the links between animals, magical objects, and the jungle.
